Vietnam's first-half agrochemical imports up 19%

Vietnamese agrochemical imports rose 19% to $274.4 million in the first half of the year, compared with the same period in 2009, according to the Chinese newswire, China-ASEAN Web. Agrochemicals accounted for 0.7% of the country's total import trade in the first six months. Imports of pesticides in Vietnam rose by 38% in value terms to $185 million during the first four months of the year (Agrow No 593, p 21).
