Over the past nine months I have been exposed to many different aspects of quality and have met lots of unique people. This has given me a good grounding on what quality is all about and has shown me just what a career in quality could look like. Believe it or not, that isn't walking around with a clipboard looking for people's mistakes as perceived by many. Quality has such a vast variety of roles that you couldn't just simply brand it as quality assurance or quality control. This stereotypical perception appears to be widespread from the anecdotal evidence I have gathered during discussions with individuals outside of the quality sector. Why is it that this is the case?
