Syngenta is to acquire DuPont's turf, ornamentals and home insecticides business, DuPont Professional Products, for $125 million. The acquisition will include a number of employees and the brands: Advion, Arilon and Provaunt (all indoxacarb); and Acelepryn, Altriset and Calteryx (all chlorantraniliprole-trade-marked as Rynaxypyr). Syngenta will also have exclusive supply and licensing of related active ingredients and formulated products from DuPont. It will also receive a licence under DuPont's patents and know-how for indoxacarb, chlorantraniliprole and cyantraniliprole (trade-marked as Cyazypyr) related to their use in the professional products market.
