The Brazilian pesticide registration process and the Chilean pesticide epidemiology inspection network are examples for other countries in Latin America to follow. That was the opinion that Diego Gonzalez Machin of the Pan-American health organisation, the Opas, told delegates at the first meeting on the "informal exchange of information on toxicology evaluations for pesticide registrations" in December.
