Chemtura AgroSolutions up 14% in fourth quarter

Chemtura AgroSolutions' sales rose by 14% to a record $98 million in the fourth quarter of 2012. The increase is attributed to sales gains in the Americas, growth from seed treatment products and changes to the company's distribution channels in Latin America. Higher volumes boosted revenues by $12 million and increased prices added another $2 million. The gains were partly offset by a $2 million reduction from unfavourable currency effects.
