Australia to approve DuPont's Cyazypyr

The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has proposed the approval of DuPont's insecticide, Exirel (cyantraniliprole - trade-marked as Cyazypyr - 100 g/litre), for use on cotton. The suspo-emulsion formulation is intended for the control of sucking and chewing insects such as silverleaf whiteflies (Bemisia tabaci), cotton aphids (Aphis gossypii), cotton bollworms (Helicoverpa armigera) and native budworms (H punctigera). The APVMA has also proposed the registration of cvantraniliDrole as a new active ingredient for use on cotton.
