The Argentine agrochemical industry is backing draft legislation on new national rules governing pesticide production, national media report. Two draft bills were presented in the lower house of Parliament in April. One came from "radical" MP, Julio Cesar, which incorporates proposals recently submitted to the Senate by ruling party members and others, and the second came from Jose Unac MP, also reprising old suggestions (Agrow No 625, p 37), newswire Enfiteuta reports.
