US to OK DuPont/Mitsui's penthiopyrad

The US EPA has proposed the approval of four DuPont fungicides based on Mitsui Chemicals' penthiopyrad. The review was done jointly with authorities in Canada, the UK and Australia. Canadian registrations for penthiopyrad were granted in November 2011 (Agrow No 629, p 25). The US approval decision is open to public comment until February 12th.
