EU court upholds Wynca glyphosate ruling

The EU has lost an appeal against a court ruling that annulled anti-dumping duties imposed on imports of the herbicide, glyphosate, from the Chinese agrochemical company, Zhejiang Wynca Chemical, the Chinese company reports. In 2009, the EU appealed to the European Court of Justice (ECJ) against a ruling by the European Court of First Instance that annulled the antidumping duties (Agrow No 573, p 10), But the ECJ rejected the appeal on July 19th. The Court ruled that the EU Council must bear court costs, while the European Commission is responsible for its own costs.
