Foreign brands make mark in China in first half

The prices of 50-60% of pesticide products on the domestic Chinese market increased in the first half of 2011, while the market was dominated by foreign branded pesticide products, reports the Chinese newspaper, the AgriGoods Herald. Prices for the insecticides, imidacloprid, chlorpyrifos and cyhalothrin, rose by between 10% and 25% when compared with the same period last year, while the fungicides, carbendazim and tebuconazole, increased in price by between 10% and 43%.
