Bayer agrochemical sales rebound 16% in Q3

Bayer CropScience's crop protection business posted a strong recovery in the third quarter of 2010. Sales were up 16.1% compared with the same quarter last year at ?1,130 million ($1,565 million at the current rate), following a poor first half for this year (Agrow No 597, pp 6-8). Revenues after currency effects were 7.4% higher. Demand for products rose as inventories were lower than last year. Prices were steady compared with the second quarter, Bayer says.
