摘要

As a part of the systematic study for the regeneration of transgenics through protoplast technology, mesophyll protoplasts were isolated from 10 days old in vivo grown mung bean (Vigna radiata cv. K-851) plants following one step enzymic digestion method. The freshly isolated protoplasts were (5.12 x 10~5/leaf) spherical, vacuolated and 80% of them were viable. Further, isolated protoplasts were photographed through Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and can be used for callusing.
