The mycelial growth and sporulation pattern of Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht. f. sp. lentis (Vasudeva and Srinivasan) grown in five different culture media namely potato - dextrose, Czapek dox, Rawlin's, Richard's and sucrose nitrate medium were observed under two and four weeks incubation at 26+or-2 degrees C and pH 6.0. Potato-dextrose, Rawlin's, Czapek dox and Richard's medium produced thick and compact mat of mycelium where as sucrose - nitrate medium showed a minimum growth effect. Potato-dextrose medium was the best for fungal mycelium accumulation followed by Richard's, Czapek dox, Rawlin's medium and sucrose - nitrate medium. The macroconidial sporulation was favoured best in potato - dextrose medium both in the two and four weeks old culture followed by Czapek dox and Richard's media. In sucrose nitrate medium the macroconida were produced much lower population than potato-dextrose medium. Microconidial production was the best under the influence of Czapek dox medium followed by potato dexrose, Rawlin's and Richard's medium. The sucrose-nitrate medium was the least effective as compared to other media. The chlamydospores sporulation was the least in potato-dextrose medium equal to that found in sucrose-nitrate medium in two weeks old culture. The best chlamydospores sporulation in two weeks old culture was occurred in Rawlin's medium followed by Czapek dox. Effect of incubation period on sporulation was observed best in potato-dextrose medium followed by Richard's medium.
