Performance requirements for polyurea and polyurea/polyurethane hybrid coatings used to protect industrial structures are the focus of a new technical standard by SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings. SSPC-Paint 45, Two-Component, Thick-Film Polyurea and Polyurea/ Polyurethane Hybrid Coatings, Performance-Based is designed to establish performance criteria for these coatings. Coating manufacturers and specifiers may use the standard as a set of performance benchmarks, SSPC said.
