A Soil Test Crop Response (STCR) field experiment was conducted at the experimental farm, Annamalai. University, Annamalainagar during Kharif2003 in Vertisols. Rice CV, ADT 36 was grown as test crop with the, objective to develop fertilizer adjustment equations for obtaining desired yield targets at varying soil test values. From the STCR data, three basic parameters viz., N.R. (Nutrient Requirment) (Kgha(-1)), C.S. (Contribution from Soil) (%) and C.F. (Contribution from Fertilizer) (To) were computed and fertilizer adjustment equations were derived as given below.FN = 5.51 T - 0.49 SNFP2O5 = 2.02 T - 2.07 SPFK2O = 2.78 T - 0.24 SK
