Import licenses for large diameter linepipe (>16”) were high in both December andJanuary averaging about 150k tons/month.These were largely project shipments andincluded large spiral weld volumes fromCanada & Turkey, ERW volumes from Greece,Germany, Canada, UK & Korea, and LSAWfrom India, Korea & Japan. Import licenseswere also strong on small diameter line pipecoming in primarily from Korea although othercountries are up as well.
