According to a Reuter’s article, more than 3,000 railway workers at Canadian NationalRailway (CN) went on strike on November 19th, threatening to disrupt crude by rail shipmentsout of Alberta. In recent years, crude by rail shipments have grown due to the lack of newpipelines to ship the Canadian oil out of Alberta. Analysts don’t expect the strike to last long, asthe government is likely to intervene because of the potential significant impact on economy incase of a prolonged labor action.
