The European Commission has lost a European Court of Justice (EG) case against France over its rules on the parallel import of pesticides.The Commission had claimed that the Fre'nch system was too restrictive and hindered such trade (Agrow No 523,p 10).However,the EG has ruled that the French requirement for products to have a "common origin" is justified and has dismissed the Commission's action.
