China quickly issues second round of RCP import permits for 2019, totalling 431,500 tonnes

The Chinese government has released a fresh round of recovered paper (RCP) import permits for 2019 amounting to 431,500 tonnes. The second batch of quotas was issued on December 29, following the earlier-than-expected release of the first batch on December 14 (No. 48, 2018, p.l). The authorities granted substantial licences in the first batch, totalling 5.03 million tonnes, to 58 companies.
