Recycled contafnerboard prices edge up in China; fine paper, ivory board prices drop once again in May

China has seen a mild rebound in recycled containerboard prices in May, but the declines for fine paper and ivory board grades have continued. After two months of steep falls, recycled containerboard prices seem to have bottomed out at the end of April, prompting many convertors and box plants to step up purchases. By late May, some downstream buyers told PP! Asia that they had secured more than 30 days of board supply.
