About 21 isolates of Alternaria spinaciae were isolated from the leaf spot of Spinach (Spinacea oleracea L.). Sensitivity of these isolates was tested against Carbendazim by food poison technique. Some of these isolates were resistant to fungicide whereas others were sensitive. Different carbon, nitrogen, vitamin, micronutrient and amino acid sources were tested in vitro against sensitive (As 1) and resistant (NMU As 1). Effect of these sources on radial growth, sporulation and mycelial dry weight, of fungicide resistant and sensitive isolates were checked by amending different nutrient sources in Czapek Dox Agar (CZA) medium. It was seen that the radial growth, sporulation and mycilial dry weight of resistant isolate was higher than that of the sensitive one.
