摘要

Twenty - Eight hybrids of sorghum were developed through half - diallel mating design. These were evaluated to estimate relative heterosis and heterobeltiosis. Significant heterotic effect and high per se performance with. grain yield was recorded by the hybrids ICSV 745 x DJ 6514, SR 770-2 x SR 833 and SR 833 x ICSV 745. Highest heterosis for most of the yield attributing characters and midge resistance trait was observed in cross ICSV 745 x DJ 6514.
