McKnight Artist Fellowship for Ceramic Artists

NCC awarded 2020 McKnight Artist Fellowship for Ceramic Artists grants($25,000 each)to Andrea Leila Denecke and Brad Menninga.Denecke creates soda-fired functional objects,sculptures,and installations that are reminiscent of historical tools and structures and elicit a sense of strength and timelessness.Menninga explores continuity and disruptions between past and present by referencing and reimagining neoclassical forms of the Enlightenment era while employing techniques of various periods in ceramic history.
