High-Tonnage Hybrids

A new line of large hybrid presses comes from Nissei Plastic Industrial Co. Ltd. (parent of Nissei America Inc., Anaheim, Calif.). Its new FVX. Series is offered in three tonnages: the FVX560 with 618 U.S. tons, FVX660 (720 tons), and FVX860 (946 tons). FVX uses Nissei's X-Pump technology, which requires 10% less oil and 45% less energy than a conventional Nissei hydraulic. A variable-speed electric servo motor drives the hydraulic pump, which delivers power only as required.
