Falling Platts JKM prices may reshuffle US LNG export priorities away from Asia

A recent retreat in East Asian natural gas prices is likely to keep US exports of LNG flowing mostly to other corners of the globe in this month. On February 7, the Platts JKM price for March was assessed flat at $10.625/MMBtu. Since mid-January though, the prompt-month contract has declined from a three-year high of $11.70/MMBtu.
