Organic fungicide programs and three cultivars of tomato (Iron Lady, Mt. Magic, and Sunrise Bumblebee) were evaluated at the Cornell Lake Erie Research and Extension Laboratory (CLEREL), Portland, NY on a Chenango gravelly loam soil. The field site was previously planted to cucumbers in 2017. A spit plot design was used with three replications and treatments arranged in a randomized complete block design. Organic fungicide programs were the main plot and consisted of one 4-ft wide by 22.5-ft long raised bed subdivided into 7.5-ft subplots for each of the cultivars. Each subplot consisted of five tomato plants with 18-in. spacing transplanted on 7 Jun. Drip irrigation was applied as needed. All fungicides were applied with a CO2 backpack sprayer at 35 gal/A and 20 psi using four TeeJet 8005 flat fan nozzles spaced 16-in. apart. Bacterial speck was first detected on 9 Aug. Bacterial speck was rated based on the percent of plant tissue showing symptoms on a 0 to 100% scale, and tomatoes were harvestedand their yield and quality assessed weekly per subplot.
