New tax law resets the economic baseline

The new tax bill is now law. That is good news for the construction materials industry. The gross domestic product will grow by more than 3 percent and approach 4 percent in some quarters. This compares to the sub-3 percent rate of the last few years. For the past few months we have shown a baseline and an optimistic outlook. We were recently asked to name the biggest difference between what will determine which scenario occurs.
