摘要

A rheometer developed by engineers at the Polymer Processing Institute for its research contracts has also been found to be very helpful for monitoring viscosity of process streams. The portable HBR device accepts a slip stream from an extruder or reactor, and provides accurate rheological data for the stream from measurements of rotor speed and pressure differential, without having to measure flow rate or torque. The pressure measurement is independent of any entrance effect.
