Cereal head blight disease, mycotoxins and fungicide treatments: initial results of a nationwide monitoring plan launched by DGAL in 2000: effects of fungicides on this disease and details of the associated mycotoxins.

The nationwide "Monitoring the health quality of cereal heads" plan oraganized by the Direction generale de l'alimentation (DGAL) involved 19 network trials during the year 2000 (2 on durum wheat, Triticum durum, 12 on soft wheat and 5 on barley). Each of these trials compared the same 6 fungicide modalities vis-a-vis head blight disease, a disease which affects the health of plants owing to the fact that it sometimes generates mycotoxins.
