摘要

Slope gradient can be estimated from three systems of earth surface representation: triangulate irregular networks, digital elevation models and equidistant contour lines. This paper reports on the usefulness of these representation systems to generate a slope class map. The results suggested that the slope class maps obtained from equidistant contour lines and digital elevation model were in good agreement with the slope measurements carried out on the field, although that from equidistant contour lines highlight surface details and the polygons reproduce better the geomorphology.
