Electromagnetic Calorimeters Based on Scintillating Crystals

摘要

The main features of electromagnetic calorimeters based on scintillating crystals are reviewed. Crystal calorimeters are widely used in studies of physical processes at high energies because of a number of their advantages. Various factors influencing the energy and spatial resolution of the calorimeters and the methods of their calibration are analyzed in the review as well.
