Greenhouse and field experiments were conducted to evaluate the efficacy of 6 fungal biogents in combination with Pseudomonas fluorescens in managing wilt and root rot of safflower. The biogent formulations were applied as seed treatment @ 4g/Kg of seed (2g fungal biogent + 2g P. fluorescens). In green house experiments seedling mortality was more in Nira cultivar than PBNS-43. In general biogents were able to control mortality as compared to control. Fungal biogents viz,, T. varide, T. harzianum andGliocladium virens (T. virens) in combination with P. fluorescens were found more effective than other biogents tested in green house and field experiments also. Grain yield was significandy higher in all the biogents expect A. fumigatus + P. fluorescens as compared to control.
