New data shows biofuel use stagnating in the UK

New energy data released by the UK's Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) shows the use of biofuel has stagnated in the UK since 2013. Commenting on the release of the quarterly publication DUKES by the BEIS, James Court, Head Policy and External Affairs at the Renewable Energy Association, said: 'There has been no significant growth in the use of biofuel since 2013, yet it is crucial if we are to meet our fast-approaching 2020 renewable energy targets. The government should immediately enforce E10 which would compel fuel suppliers to use 10% renewable petrol in the mix.
