India allocates SPR funding

India has approved 50bn rupees ($800mn)to start filling strategic petro-leum reserve(SPR)facilities,with the first site expected to open by April. Delhi has allocated Rs25bn to fill the first 9.7mn bl underground cavern at Visakhapatnam,southeast India,to take advantage of the 50pc drop in crude prices since June last year.
