Beijing investigates CNOOC official

Chinese state-controlled CNOOC’s gas and power group general manager Luo Weizhong is under investigation for suspected bribe-taking, in the first publicly known case involving China’s dominant offshore oil and gas producer. CNOOC is responsible for all of China’s LNG-related business, including negotiating import deals.
