Crude prices gained ground, amid an escalation in geopolitical tensions in the Mideast Gulf and the prospect of weather-related disruption in the US Gulf. Atlantic basin benchmark North Sea Dated rose by $3.44/bl in the week to 11 July to $67.32/bl, while US marker WTI increased by $2.86/bl to $60.20/bl following a 9.5mn bl weekly draw in commercial crude stocks. Mideast Gulf marker Dubai fnished at $65.33/bl, after posting a gain of $3.52/bl.
