Rosneft goes for greenfeld growth

Russia’s top crude producer Rosneft plans to increase its greenfeld output this year, following the easing of output restraint under the Opec/non-Opec produc- tion cut agreement. The frm’s greenfeld production rose by almost 175pc on the year to 257,000 b/d in January-July. Rosneft has had no greenfeld growth since its east Siberian fagship Vankor feld slipped into decline in 2016 after underpinning its production for almost eight years by ofsetting drops elsewhere.
