Steel Yankee Shells-The Seamless Option

In the last three years I have made several presentations on the A.Celli patented concept of making a Yankee dryer shell out of steel without any welds.As explained in previous presentations the welds in a steel shell are a safety concern and therefore require regular monitoring.The concept is now a reality as seamless steel shells have been designed and manufactured.This paper gives an overview of the manufacturing process employed to make the first forged Yankee dryer shell.
