In 2020,Iowa will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its state park system.In preparation for the centennial event,Diamond Vogel,in conjunction with Keep Iowa Beautiful,announced that its 2019 Paint Iowa Beautiful Program was expanded to include paint for the state's 70 parks.”The state has funding for park projects,but they're not always focused on beautification,”says Doug Vogel,vice president of marketing for the 93-year-old,Iowa-based paint and finishes company.”We wanted to provide opportunities to spruce up before the big party.”Vogel says the family-owned company was pleased to provide additional paint to enhance the state parks,just as it was happy to help launch Paint Iowa Beautiful in 2003 when Keep Iowa Beautiful first approached Diamond Vogel with the idea.
