HONEYWELL has signed an agreement valued at $142 million to acquire Matrikon, a company specialising in software that helps industrial manufacturers operate plants safely, reliably and effi-ciendy. The acquisition will strengthen Honeywell's position in the oil and gas and power value chains and increase its global footprint in key regions.
