Olaratumab (Lartruvo): An Innovative Treatment for Soft Tissue Sarcoma

Sarcoma comprises about 1% of all adult malignancies and about 15% of all pediatric malignancies, with 7% of pediatric sarcomas characterized specifically as soft tissue sarcoma (STS). Approximately 13,000 newly diagnosed cases of STS and more than 5,000 deaths due to the disease are estimated to occur in the United States in 2018.
