Overfilling is a major issue for storage terminals.In fact,one of the main causes of tank fires in terminals is overfilling.Tank fires cause catastrophic damage to facilities and,more critically,endanger staff.Even if an overfill doesn’t cause a fire,it is likely to lead to other problems.These include health and safety issues,expensive spills and criticism from regulators.But quite apart from the risk implications,overfilling and its consequences have the potential to cause irreparable damage to storage terminals’reputation.
