From consensus to dissensus — history and meaning influx at Sir GeoffreyJellicoe's Kennedy Memorial landscape

On the gentle slopes of Cooper's Hill, above the River Thames in Surrey, England, is the landscape Geoffrey Jellicoe designed to commemorate US president John F Kennedy (figure i). It was created for a dead man, yet today it marks the life of someonewho could be said never to have existed at all.
