摘要

Linseed is an important oilseed crop which belongs to the family linaceae. Thirty six genotypes of linseed were evaluated for genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance. High phenotypic and genotypic coefficient of variation values were observed for seed yield, number of capsules per plant, biological yield, number of primary branches per plant and number of secondary branches per plant. High heritability coupled with high genetic advance was observed for number of capsules per plant, seedyield per plant, biological yield, plant height and number of primary branches per plant, indicating that heritability is due to additive gene action and selection based on these characters may be effective.
