Outokumpu has set a target of 2020 to fully digitise its biggest plant, in Tornio, Finland. The aim is to utilise artifi cial intelligence technology to optimise plant reliability, product quality and supply chain management. Outokumpu expects to release up to 100,000 tonnes per year of capacity from these measures.
