The hot rolled plate market, in the United States, is subdued. Suppliers compete fi ercely, for limited enduser orders. Many stockists are, currently, relying on material purchased from master distributors or mill depots, to satisfy customers, rather than increasing their own inventory. A limited upturn in purchasing activity is foreseen, before the summer vacation period.
