In the United States, demand for hot rolled coil varies, by end-user sector. Inventory levels are low, but nobody wants to lift them. Delivery lead times, from domestic mills, are short. The removal of tariffs, from Mexican material, increased availability, in the US market. Alloy surcharges continue to fall, and basis values may slip further.
