REPORT FROM THE PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE PILLAR CHAIR

In keeping with the focus of my earlier report, in the March journal, I continue my reports on our committees with information about the Standards Committee. Eight perioperative nurses get together monthly, via internet, to review, revise, and create (where gaps are identified) evidence-based guidelines for your perioperative best-practice. These are published as The ORNAC Standards, Guidelines, and Position Statements for Perioperative Registered Nurses. In 2019 we published the 14th edition of this document that is also known by the short form The ORNAC Standards.
