After another successful National Forklift Safety Convention this October, Tim Waples, chief executive of the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA), reflects on the main takeaways from this year's event and what the industry could be doing better. At the FLTA, we like to take a broad look at the industry each year and see what problems are leading to lapses in forklift safety. Every day, on average, three people are seriously injured and hospitalised in incidents involving fork lift trucks. The resulting injuries change lives in an instant. This is why it's so crucial that no incident - no matter how small - is overlooked.
