摘要

With forklift-related accidents running at a persistently high level, all aspects of on-site operations are under the spotlight. Adam Smith, explains what AITT - one of the UK's foremost accrediting bodies for fork lift training - is doing to bring change and improvements to this vital area. SHD Logistics (SHD): What do you bring to the party? Adam Smith (AS): I think it's fair to say I bring a unique perspective to the job of general manager at AITT. Although I'm relatively new in post I'm addressing those things that I've seen from an end-user perspective. I'm an accredited trainer in my own right so know what it's like at the coalface and have worked at a senior level in almost every area of training including a large independent fork lift training provider, and as head of the UK training department of one of the world's largest manufacturers. I'm aware of the problems across the training landscape... and I'm happy to say we are already tacking some of the key ones.
